Does anyone know how to get in touch with Hernandez?
Suit calls auto seizures unfair

SACRAMENTO -- Police are unfairly seizing the vehicles of men suspected of cruising for prostitutes on city streets, a suit filed in Sacramento Superior Court charges.
The suit brought by Daniel Hernandez seeks to prevent the Sacramento Police Department from enforcing the vehicle-confiscation ordinance approved by the City Council in 1999.
It also asks that seized vehicles be returned to their owners.
City Attorney Samuel Jackson was not in his office Thursday and could not be reached for comment.
The city ordinance was proposed by Councilwoman Lauren Hammond, who said neighborhoods such as Oak Park in her district have long suffered from prostitution and drug deals on the streets.
The suit contained little information about the plaintiff, saying only that Hernandez is older than 18 and a "taxpaying resident of Sacramento."
