DAUPHIN COUNTY, PA – The county government sold the home 
of an 89-year-old woman for missing one property tax payment of 
$572. Helene Shue's home and 41 acres of property is worth 
$800,000 but was sold in a September sheriff's sale for $15,000. 
The county states that "There's a very strict procedure we must 
follow that includes 12 notifications," and "We followed the letter 
of the law to a T." Mrs. Shue is a widow who has lived in that 
home for 50 years and according to her nephew her only wish is 
to live her remaining days in the home she shared with her husband.
